Sculpts, Templates and Textures, Oh My!

This is no secret, I use full perm sculpts to make my shoes, a full perm hud and script I purchased and full perm templates. I also sometimes use full perm belts or sleeve/skirt prims mostly to save time and energy.  I purchased the rights to use these items at my shop.

However, almost nothing I sell is sold straight out of the box "as is" when I purchased it from the sculptor or template maker or scripter. Everything is done individually so that the sculpt or template is nothing more than a jumping off place. It's something like purchasing a pattern in real life and then doing your own thing with.Very occasionally I'll decide to sell a piece of clothing as it came in the box but usually with other hand made pieces.

I don't feel you can call yourself a "designer" if you do nothing more than applies someone else's pre-made tgas to a piece of clothing and package it up with a few pictures. Where exactly was the designing part?

According to Webster's Online - design means -
1 : to create, fashion, execute, or construct according to plan : devise, contrive
2 a : to conceive and plan out in the mind <he designed the perfect crime> b : to have as a purpose : intend <she designed to excel in her studies> c : to devise for a specific function or end <a book designed primarily as a college textbook>
Plopping a texture on a clothing layer or on a prim does not constitute creation to me.
In the spirit of acknowledgment I submit a partial list of full perm providers that I purchase from and use their creations.
